Photographic album mainly related to the events organised in 1963 to celebrate the centenary of the St Ignatius Church and College in Galway. Includes photographs of: Jesuit residences; the President of Ireland, Eamon de Valera with members of the Jesuit community; photocopies of photograph of the Hurling team and Irish Speakers in 1904 taken from ‘The Ignatian’; Fr Patrick O'Kelly SJ; pasted inserts of receipts from 1879 to 1895 for cleaning, stained glass windows of 2 lights and tracery and missal stand; group photograph of the St Ignatius Gaelic Football team of 1935-1936.

While various studios, both in Ireland and elsewhere, were responsible for the images, the most frequent photographer was A. Lesage, ‘Photographer to the Catholic Hierarchy’, 40 Lower Sackville Street, Dublin. As well as studio portraits, the album contains a number of deathbed scenes and mass cards (PC/4/ 8, 10, 12). Two more informal photographs from Sydney were adhered to the albums front flyleaf and back cover (PC/4/1, PC/4/52).
This collection derives from an album of portraits of members of the Society of Jesus in the period 1853-1910.

Album from Patrick O'Mara’s time as a student at Valkenberg, The Netherlands. The album contains farewell poems in German, Latin, Greek and English by O'Mara’s classmates; a series of photographs and numerous insertions. For preservation reasons the photographs have been removed from the album and are listed below in the order in which they appear. A note in pencil in the album indicates their original position. A photograph of the mill at Valkenburg appears to be missing between J552/ 33 and 34. Unrelated paper insertions have also been listed separately. Photographs of O'Mara at other stages in his early career in the Society of Jesus are included at the end of the album.
