Letter from Fr W. H. Murphy, Irish College, Rome to Fr Joseph McDonnell SJ. Gives an account of his audience with the Pope, at which he presented to the Pontiff the address of Irish Children of Mary.

Letter from Sr Mary J. Bernard, Ursuline Convent, St Mary's, Waterford to Fr John Curtis SJ complimenting him on the retreat given to the community.

Letters from Fr Leonard Sheil SJ to the Irish Fr Provincial John R MacMahon SJ and his Socius, Fr John Coyne SJ seeking permission to visit his brother’s widow and children. His brother was killed in the war, 1945.

Letters to the Irish Fr Provincial from possible candidates and various parish priests seeking information on and interviews to discuss, the possibility of entrance into the Society of Jesus. Also includes applications to join the Society; letters from those who have been accepted and letters concerning financial support from novices’ families.

A letter each from Francis Ryan and Robert Ievers. The former expresses his delight on learning of the formation of 'the College Union'. Refers to several classmates - their professions and locations. (24 March 1960; 2 pages). Ievers reminisces about his schooldays, and reports on the status and activities of several classmates. Looks forward to seeing Br Priest the following August. (20 April 1960; 3 pages).
