Early education at Stonyhurst before Ent.

After First Vows, studies at Saint-Acheul, France and Stonyhurst, Regency and Theology at Stonyhurst, he was Ordained there by Bishop Penswick 20 December 1834
1834-1841 He was at the Gilmoss (near Liverpool) Mission
1841-1842 On the Lydiate - near Liverpool - Mission
1842 Appointed Rector of Mount St Mary’s. He left there some time after and served the Missions of Preston, Irnham, Lincoln and Market Rasen for brief periods.
1848-1850 Appointed Minister and procurator at St Beuno’s
1850-1859 On the Market Rasen Mission
1859-1867 On the Tunbridge Wells Mission, which was ceded to the local Bishop in 1867.
1867 He became a Missioner at Wardour Castle, from where, in declining health, he was sent to Blackpool, and he died there 02/09/1870 aged 66.

Ordained at Stonyhurst September 1841 by Bishop Walsh.

After Ordination he was sent to Stonyhurst to teach Latin and Greek at the College and Seminary for five years.
1847-1851 Sent to the Wigan Mission
1851-1854 Sent to Tunbridge Wells
1854-1858 Appointed Rector of Mount St Mary’s
1858-1870 He was sent to the Holywell Mission, where by his great exertions he founded the hospice for poor pilgrims
1870-1872 He was sent to the new Mission at Bournemouth
1872-1873 He was sent again to Mount St Mary’s as Minister.
1873 he was sent to Stonyhurst for health reasons where he died.

Waterton, William, Father,was son of Thomas Waterton, Esq, of Walton Hall , and his wife Anne, daughter of Edward Bedingfeld, Esq.; born at Walton Hall,December 9,1794; studied his humanities at Stonyhurst College; entered the Society at Hodder, September 7, 1815, and was made a Spiritual Coadjutor August 15,1836. He studied theology at Clongowes College, Ireland, where he was ordained Priest1823. He served the mission of Pontefract at two periods ; also at Pylewell,near Lymington, Hants, for many years, and finally at Tunbridge Wells. In 1841 he was appointed Prefect of the Secular Philosophers at Stonyhurst, and died there, January 18,1852, æt.58. (ProvinceRegister.)
