Letter from Joseph K O'Connor KC, Castlemount, Castleknock, County Dublin, for Fr John O'Meara SJ, Editor of 'The Clongownian' in response to a request from Fr O'Meara for a personal profile to appear in 'The Clongownian', following his elevation to the Circuit Court in 1933. Judge O'Connor was at pains to point out the he was an "old boy" of the Crescent as well as Clongowes. He also gives details of his involvement as a barrister in a number of high profile cases.

Refers to an enclosed 'letter of agreement' (not included), which enables the Crescent College to take full control of the field.

Letter from John Dundon to Fr O'Mara SJ in relation to the title to the Maunsell holding. Asserts that the Crescent community have acquired 'an absolute estate in fee simple' of the Maunsell holding, by reason of their possession of the property for 20 years without paying any rent.

Letter from Fr John J O'Carroll SJ to Fr Curtis SJ. Asks for money for an altar for the Sacred Heart in Galway. Also writes in relation to a work by Mr Gallery, intended to be published by the Jesuits, and advises against its publication.

Letter from Fr John Grene SJ to Fr William Ronan SJ on Crescent property deeds. Sends Fr Ronan deeds relating to a property fronting
onto Richmond Place and later known as 'Number 3' Newenham Street, consisting of what was once known as Russell's House and other premises (not included). Refers to other deeds and documents, such as agreements in relation to the Tontine buildings, a fee farm grant and negative searches.

Mainly from ex-students informing Fr Stephen Bates SJ of their and their ex-classmates' progress since leaving school. Many seem to be in reply to a request from Bates for information to be included in a 'Centenary Record' to be published to mark the centenary of the College in 1959, and in some letters the writers attempt to identify the subjects of various photos. Includes letters from ex-students working in the UK. Also includes correspondence from the sons, brothers and other relations of various men who were ex-Crescentians. Many reminisce fondly about their schooldays and refer with affection to Jesuits who taught or influenced them in some way, including Fr Tom Maher SJ, Fr Weafer SJ, Fr Guinane SJ, Fr Finucane SJ, Fr Hackett SJ and Brother Priest SJ. Includes a handwritten account by J.M. Hayes of his memories of his school days at the Crescent College. Describes the layout of the school building as he remembers it, and refers to various Jesuits and laymen who taught him over the years. Includes images of Jesuit-related subjects, including Jesuit buildings and Jesuit saints. Contains biographical information on various ex-pupils of the Crescent, including two articles on Dr John Joseph Cantwell, Archbishop of Los Angeles, as well as correspondence involving Fr.Peter Halpin SJ, Fr Patrick O'Reilly SJ and Fr Robert Tyndall SJ, on the subject of Fr William Benn SJ, who was an ex-pupil of the Crescent. Also contains some documents relating to Canon John Hayes, founder of Muintir na Tire, as well as material on that organisation. Other material includes newspaper articles reporting on matters involving
ex-pupils of the Crescent, including lectures and television appearances by Fr Thomas Stack C.C., Glendalough, re-unions of old classmates in Limerick, and an article on the Second Vatican Council by Fr Dominic Johnson O.S.B. Also includes a document entitled 'Limerick Jesuits on the Hongkong-Singapore Mission', which contains a brief biography of some Jesuit missioners, some of whom attended the Crescent. In addition, there is a handwritten list of some past pupils from the Crescent who joined the priesthood. Also includes some material, including correspondence, in relation to the celebrations and presentation to mark the Golden Jubilee of Fr. Gerard Guinane SJ in 1967.

Documents include those announcing the Union's establishment, and some inviting 'past Crescent boys' to join it, as well as documents concerning its rules/constitution.

A file relating to the establishment of a summer school of Irish for Jesuits and discussions concerning where the summer school should be located.

Documents relating to the screening of films by the Jesuits. Includes a letter from a representative of the Office of the [Collector General] to Fr Tyndall, from Fr Joseph Conran SJ of Gardiner Street to Fr Tyndall, as well as official literature in relation to the tax.

Crescent Past Pupils's Union. Includes newspaper reports on attendance and speeches, an invitation to attend the dinner in 1967.

All that and those a plot of ground containing three acres, two roods and ten perches, bounded on the north side by the Railway premises and on the south side by the houses (Mrs Anderson's property) erected on Carey's Road, on the East Side by Mrs Thornhill's holding, and on the west side by the old wall separating the premises in question from the holdings of Samuel Dickson. Terms and Conditions:
To have and to hold from 1 August 1911 for the term of 50 years, subject to the payment of a yearly rent of £13 and 5 shillings, and to the condition that the lessees, within the space of 6 months from the date of the execution of the lease, erect or cause to be erected concrete walls to replace the existing two separating the property from the holdings of Mrs Thornhill and Samuel Dickson.
