Describes a storm which occurred off Newfoundland '...which blew us far south of the Banks which turned out most fortunate for us as many besides that kept north of the banks were that night more or less injured we thank God not only escaped that but the cold and icebergs.' Describes her arrival in America and stay in New York city. Remarks 'I cannot give you any opinion of the Americans as I think we have seen the worst of them...'. Concludes that she will write again when they reach Columbus, Ohio.
