Remarks that the Archbishop's '...will be very glad for any assistance the [Professors] can give them in getting it, provided we do not interfere with their prerogative as founders...of the University to settle the terms - in other words, they wish us to petition' Quotes from a letter received from Dr Cullen. Concludes in a postscript 'I don't think myself we shall get the charter this time but it is a good thing to try.'
