Jubilee Album of Views and Portraits of Crescent College, Limerick

Printed publication (incomplete) produced 'in commemoration of the school roll reaching 200 pupils Midsummer, 1899'. Includes images of Jesuit-related subjects, including Jesuit buildings and Jesuit saints. Most photographs pertain to the College and include sports related images of groups, individuals and trophies; photographs of theatrical productions; photographs of those who has attained academic success. Other sections include 'Science Jottings', 'Views In or Near Limerick', and a section dedicated to photographs of past pupils, living and deceased. Amongst the alumni are doctors, lawyers, churchmen and those involved in the arts, e.g., Surgeon A.X. Lavertine, Charles Doyle, M.A., T.C.D. and R.U. I., and Joseph O'Mara, noted opera singer. Some text accompanies images of the interior and exterior of the church, and at the back of the album is a review of the 'Crescent College Review, 1898', which appeared in the 'Munster News', as well as an incomplete report (also from the 'Munster News' on Crescent College Theatricals in 1899.
