  • letter from Fr George Roche SJ to Irish Fr Provincial Thomas V Nolan raising the question about the necessity of having Greek for entry to the Society. He has two specific people in mind, Thomas Fleming and Frank O'Riordan, both of whom subsequently entered the novitiate on 31 August 1914. Fr Roche was Higher Line Prefect at this time (12 February 2014, 2pp);
  • letter from Fr George Roche SJ to Irish Fr Provincial John Fahy SJ explaining why he presumed permission to spend money on a fire engine. Included with this letter was a testimony about the said fire engine. Fr Roche is Rector of Clongowes Wood College SJ at this time (13 May 1929, 5pp);
